About me

Dawn Hayward MBACP Accredited Counsellor, Humanistic counsellor with training in other theories so can work in an integrated way to suit the individual. One to One Counselling service

I believe everyone has the ability to grow and become their true self. I offer a safe environment for you to explore, express and work towards your goals. We all hit obstacles in our lives and most of us today understand the need to talk about those issues affecting us.
I have many years experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, self harm, suicide ideation, OCD, anger issues, problems at work and personal issues to name a few.

PET BEREAVEMENT                                                                                         I have been an animal owner for most of my life and am currently studying dog training. I am also a member of a dog socialising group. The loss of a pet is the loss of a family member and with my love of animals and training in bereavement counselling means I have empathy for this loss. I can guarantee you will be treated with the greatest of respect at this difficult time in your life.
Mindfulness
This is a way of being in the here and now, learning acceptance of your experiences and allowing things to 'just be' rather than analysing and labelling them. I have been a Mindfulness trainer since 2013. studying under Bangor University. It is now part of my everyday life and helps in reducing anxiety and stress, which is a big part of modern life. Mindfulness can be incorporated into everything that you do, even the washing up. It can help you become aware of your body and mind, showing curiosity rather than analysis, acceptance rather than frustration.
